Is strabismus dangerous and when should it be treated?
Strabismus needs to be treated as early as possible - up to 6-7 years, while the visual system is still forming. Without treatment, amblyopia ("lazy" eye) occurs with persistent vision loss. Treatment includes occlusion, exercises and, if necessary, surgical correction.
What is a cataract and when is surgery necessary?
Cataract is a clouding of the lens of the eye, which leads to a gradual decrease in vision. The operation is indicated when vision impairment interferes with normal life. The modern method - phacoemulsification - is minimally invasive, takes 15–20 minutes and does not require prolonged hospitalization.
