- "The best way to improve professional skills, in my opinion, is practical work with patients with various pathologies. Since each region has certain limitations in pathology, I work in countries in Asia and Africa to expand professional experience. Before the war, every year I visited clinics of the best surgeons in Europe to familiarize myself with the features of their surgery (Germany, France, Austria, Poland, USA, Canada, Egypt, Czech Republic). To familiarize myself with technological innovations and expand the range of manipulations, I attend European, American, and Ukrainian conferences. One of the best ways of professional growth, I consider preparing lectures and speaking at conferences."
Priority areas in clinical practice:
- microsurgery of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye;
- prevention and treatment of retinal diseases;
- treatment of infectious eye diseases;
- application of medical ophthalmogenetics.
Tell us about your professional interests other than your specialization:
- "I am interested in the application of non-pharmacological methods for treating diseases of the nervous system, high-frequency electrosurgery of soft tissues, and medical genetics. I am interested in the management of private medical clinics, the implementation of innovations in the motivation system for staff and increasing the efficiency of personnel. I am also involved in the training of interns and postgraduate training of ophthalmologists."
Hobbies, favorite movies, books:
- "My interests include history and archaeology. I prefer watching historical dramas and adventure sequels, and among my favorite literary authors are Jack London, Erich Maria Remarque, Boris Akunin, Guy Kawasaki, and Eliyahu Goldratt."
Doctor's advice:
- "Treat people as you would like to be treated. Maintain your peace of mind. Reduce the amount of food you consume in one sitting to the size of an Asian bowl. Seek medical attention in a timely manner, do not wait until the disease pushes you to the wall. Listen to yourself and the Universe more often. Do not hurry."
