Evisceroenucleation with implantation of an intraocular implant Oculfit AJL

This is a reconstructive ophthalmic surgery that combines the simultaneous removal of the eyeball and implantation of an intraocular prosthesis. At the same time, the oculomotor muscles and tissues of the eye are preserved, which allows restoring the natural appearance. This procedure provides a satisfactory aesthetic result and implant mobility. The intervention is performed under general anesthesia.

Indications:

• Blindness with chronic recurrent uveitis or keratitis.
• Threat of sympathetic ophthalmia development.
• Subatrophy of the eye.
• Eye trauma with minor tissue loss and inability to seal the eyeball.
• Terminal glaucoma with severe pain syndrome that cannot be controlled by drops with ineffective cyclo-photocoagulation.

Age category of clients: The service is provided to patients from the age of 18.

Equipment:

The service is performed using an OMS-800 OFISS ophthalmic microscope and special medical instruments in the operating room of the ophthalmology department.
