Consultation of an gynecologist

Responsible attitude to own health that includes attending preventive gynaecological examinations, helps to recognize a disease on an early stage and receive timely treatment. Our gynaecologists recommend to attend preventive examinations yearly, and twice a year if medically required (past diseases).

You should consult your gynaecologist if you have the following symptoms:

• Unusual discharge: purulent, the whites, yellowish, blood-tinged
• Hypermenorrhea
• Severe sudden lower abdominal pains
• Feeling of heaviness in lower abdomen or sharp increase of its dimensions
• Pain during sexual activity
• Feeling of swelling and pain in external genitalia area
• Blood-tinged discharge beyond the period and/or after a sexual activity

During the examination the gynaecologist will analyse the case record, collect complaints, perform cautious gynaecological examination on a gynaecological examination chair using modern diagnostic instruments: colposcope and ultrasound device (subject to additional fees). If necessary, the gynaecologist will take biological material for laboratory tests (subject to additional fees). Mandatory palpation of mammary glands is included in a consultation by gynaecologist.

Based on the received information, a doctor will determine a provisional diagnosis and give explanations on the upcoming treatment. Our doctors apply evidence based medicine methods and international protocols. Apart from treatment and explanations, a doctor will give recommendations on prevention and lifestyle.

It is recommended to make a planned preventive examination on the 7th-10th day of the menstrual cycle.
