May is Melanoma Awareness Month. On this occasion, the Dobrobut Medical Network invites everyone to join our free events that will help prevent or find out about the disease in time.
According to the WHO, about 57 thousand deaths from melanoma are registered annually in the world. Every year in Ukraine, about 2.4 thousand new cases are diagnosed - a third of them are detected during mass examinations. The incidence of melanoma has been growing rapidly in recent decades, accounting for up to 10% of all newly diagnosed skin tumors. Unfortunately, during the war, many people do not have access to diagnostics or neglect examinations, so experts predict an increase in the number of cases detected at later stages of the disease in the coming years. Therefore, it is important to develop a culture of examinations and take care of your health today.
In May, several free events will take place where you can check your moles and learn more about how to protect yourself from skin cancer.
