Diagnosing cancer with CT
Computerized tomography is a possibility to receive several projections of the area of interest within one procedure. Pathologies of bones, soft tissues, internal organs are revealed on 3D images. The special material called the contrast agent is used for all the CT examinations to make the area of the object being examined more visible.
Special low-dose computerized tomography can be used as a screening tool for the people with high risk of lung cancer development.
