Female menopause: first symptoms, health improvement methods

Female menopause: first symptoms, health improvement methods

Menopause is a physiological process that indicates the old age. Uterus and ovaries stop functioning during menopause, fertile period comes to its end. Unfortunately, it is impossible to prevent or stop this process. However, if you know the symptoms of the menopause and recommendations of gynecologists, it is real to relieve the condition and make this period easier.

  • natural, when the menopause began in due time, without any exogenous interventions in processes of aging and reproductive failure;
  • surgical menopause after the hysterectomy, that is normal after such an intervention and requires continuous support of the body with medications;
  • premature menopause;
  • menopause associated with ovarian insufficiency.

At what age do women get menopause? Doctors define the period of 40–55 years, but normally the menopause is diagnosed at the age of 50.

Besides, dizziness and headaches can disturb a woman, as well as sleeping disorders. She starts to have groundless ruminations, people around may notice the instable psychological and emotional state.

Menopause lasts several years and does not have a rampant development. A woman will never have all the symptoms mentioned above. The symptoms will augment gradually, alternating with rather “healthy” periods. Vaginal discharge is present during the menopause, but they become brownish-red, denser and viscous. If they become smelly, it indicates an inflammatory or infectious process in genital system organs. This condition requires a qualified medical aid.

Induced menopause, as a rule, is easier and faster. For example, a woman may have no feeling of heat and no hot flashes, however, she may constantly complain of acute headache or dizziness.

What should you do at the first signs of the menopause? Firstly, you should not take any medications or try to cope up with the discomfort using folk healing methods. To begin with, the diagnosis has to be confirmed by a gynecologist. Secondly, you should visit a medical facility and get qualified aid, including doctor’s recommendations on the ways of condition stabilization.

This physiological process brings great inconvenience to women not only in terms of well-being - sweating, dizziness and headaches interfere with a normal active lifestyle, in some cases even "forced" to stop working. To solve the problem, you should listen to the recommendations of gynecologists:

  • How to alleviate hot flashes during menopause: wear light clothing, if possible be near a fan or in a room with air conditioning, drink plenty of fluids (at least 2 liters per day). If a woman is bothered by hot flashes too often (several times a day or daily), it is worth visiting a doctor and undergoing medical treatment with hormonal drugs.
  • If there is increased sweating at night: just before bedtime take a cold shower (cool), cover with a thin blanket, be sure to leave open some part of the body for heat (for example, you can not cover the lower extremities). A great option would be to use a warmer or bubble with ice. It is placed under a pillow and periodically turned over.
  • The physiological process under discussion troubles a woman significantly not only when it comes to her general state. Hyperhydrosis, dizziness and headaches detain her from the usual active lifestyle, and in some cases even “make” her leave her work. You should adhere to the gynecologists’ recommendations to resolve the problem.
  • Lose weight. Extra pounds provoke hot flashes, hyperhydration and early atrophy of the vagina. If you visit an experienced nutritionist, you will get recommendations on how to lose weight during the menopause. Common diets will hardly help in this case.
  • If any chronic genital pathology was diagnosed earlier, a woman would have to definitely visit a gynecologist noticing the first signs of the menopause. Many diseases require a supporting therapy during this period. For example, endometrial hyperplasia during the menopause implies hormonotherapy.

Menopause period is inevitable, so a woman should prepare herself in advance.
