Diagnostic endoscopy for cancer
Endoscopy is a procedure that utilizes a micro-video camera, which is introduced into the cavities and internal organs of a person through natural openings for the purpose of diagnosis. Endoscopy plays a significant role in the diagnosis of oncological diseases, as it allows for a visual assessment of the state of the mucous membranes of internal organs, identification of neoplasms, determination of their nature, localization, and even the ability to take a sample for biopsy during the procedure.
At the "Dobrobut" Clinical Center of Oncology, various types of diagnostics are performed using an endoscope, with gastroscopy and colonoscopy being the most informative methods in cancer diagnostics.
