Ukrainians Aged 40+ Will Be Able to Undergo Health Screening at Dobrobut

The Dobrobut medical network has joined the National “Health Screening 40+” Program launched by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in 2026. From now on, Ukrainians aged 40 and over will be able to undergo free health screening at Dobrobut medical centers.

The “Health Screening 40+” program is aimed at early detection of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, and mental health issues — conditions that are among the leading causes of premature mortality and disability in Ukraine. After the age of 40, the risks of developing these diseases increase significantly, even in the absence of obvious symptoms.

According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the WHO, 60% of premature deaths in Ukraine are caused by cardiovascular diseases, and more than 1.3 million Ukrainians already have a diagnosis of diabetes — with approximately the same number living with the condition without knowing it. The full-scale war has also significantly worsened the mental health of Ukrainians: up to 10 million people may face psychological problems as a result of stress and loss.

What the Health Screening 40+ Includes

The screening is based on evidence-based clinical approaches and includes several key stages:

  • physical examination (measurement of blood pressure, pulse, weight, height, waist circumference, etc.);
  • a lifestyle questionnaire, symptom screening, and identification of risks for cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and mental health conditions;
  • laboratory tests to assess the function of the heart, blood vessels, and kidneys.

All examinations can be completed free of charge in a single visit, and after receiving the results, the physician provides personalized recommendations for further actions. The data are entered into the patient’s electronic medical record.

“For us, participation in the ‘Health Screening 40+’ program is a matter of social responsibility. We consciously join state initiatives that help people take timely care of their health. It is important to offer support where early risk detection can save lives and to make modern medicine accessible to all Ukrainians regardless of the ownership of the healthcare facility,” said Oleksandra Mashkevych, Chief Medical Director of the Dobrobut medical network.

How to Undergo Screening at Dobrobut

  1. Receive an invitation in Diia — 30 days after your birthday — or apply for the service through a CNAP.
  2. After the funds are credited to the Diia Card (or to a plastic card with a special account if the service was arranged through a CNAP), choose any convenient Dobrobut medical center.
  3. Book an appointment online, through the contact center, the mobile app, or at the reception desk.
  4. Undergo the screening on a convenient day and time.
  5. Receive the results and a doctor’s consultation — offline or online.

The screening does not require complex preparation. It is only recommended to refrain from coffee, alcohol, smoking, and intense physical activity before the visit.
