The examination is performed by an ophthalmologist with a nurse. The doctor determines the scope of tests and helps create a treatment or laser correction plan.
How to prepare for the examination?
- The full refractive eye examination takes 1.5–2 hours.
- Contact lens users should stop wearing soft lenses 5 days before the exam and rigid lenses 2 months prior.
- Pupil dilation is required: do not drive, work on a computer, or perform tasks requiring visual focus for 6–8 hours after the exam.
- Age limits: 18–40 years.
