Urethroplasty surgery for stricture from 2 to 5 cm with replacement of the graft defect with the buccal mucosa
If an extended urethral stricture is detected, surgery is performed to restore the patency of the urethra by replacing the defect of the graft with the buccal mucosa.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia and it lasts 3-6 hours.
Preparation for the surgery:
- undergo a clinical and diagnostic examination for contraindications to general anesthesia;
- receive opinion from an anesthesiologist;
- at least 4 days before the intervention, stop taking medications that affect the blood coagulation system (warfarin, cardiomagnyl, aspirin, etc.);
- 3 days before the operation rinse your mouth cavity with a solution of tantum-verde 2-3 times a day;
- in the evening on the eve of the operation, it is necessary to do a cleansing enema;
- right before the operation (in the operating room) the surgical area is shaved to remove hair
