• diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations, such as lavage of palatine tonsils, Proetz nasal lavage, pouring medications into the laryngeal cavity, opening of furuncles of the auditory meatus and nasal bridge, opening of paratonsillar abscesses, tympanopuncture and paracentesis of the tympanic membrane.
