Dobrobut Clinic performed a kind of unique operation to remove a large stomach tumor simultaneously with the removal of the gallbladder

Diagnosis and treatment of gastric submucosal tumors requires the cooperation of various specialists and technologies. Traditionally, in the treatment of even small gastric tumors, surgical access to them is through a large incision in the abdominal wall, which is accompanied by significant trauma, possible complications and a long rehabilitation period.

The so-called hybrid approach in surgical technology is a combination of different methods for solving a single clinical problem. It allows you to achieve maximum results while reducing possible injuries from surgery.

The Dobrobut Clinic performed a kind of unique surgery to remove a large gastric tumor simultaneously with the removal of the gallbladder due to complications of gallstone disease. The “rendezvous” principle of hybrid surgery was applied, when an endoscopist works from inside the stomach and a surgeon from the abdominal cavity, using the laparoscopic method, targets the tumor without damaging the surrounding structures. At the same time, the duration of the operation is no longer than a more traumatic operation through a large incision, and the patient can be fully rehabilitated and discharged from the clinic as soon as possible after the operation.
