Dobrobut Medical Network is expanding its high-tech surgical capabilities by investing in advanced medical technologies. The network has acquired the da Vinci Surgical System, one of the world's most widely used robotic platforms for minimally invasive surgery. For more than 25 years, the da Vinci system has been shaping the development of robotic surgery worldwide. Its introduction will give Ukrainian patients access to a technology that has become one of the global standards of modern surgical care.
The greatest advantages of the robotic system are seen during complex procedures performed in confined anatomical spaces, particularly in urology, colorectal surgery, oncology (including prostate, stomach, and rectal cancer), gynecology, and cardiac surgery. Where conventional laparoscopic techniques may have limitations, the robotic platform provides greater instrument dexterity and enables surgeons to perform highly precise movements.
For patients, this means not only less invasive surgery and a lower risk of complications, but also the possibility of performing minimally invasive procedures that previously often required open surgery. As a result, patients typically experience less postoperative pain, shorter hospital stays, and a faster return to their normal daily activities.
"The robot does not operate independently and does not replace the surgeon. It is an extension of the surgeon's hands—all clinical decisions, surgical strategy, and operative tactics remain entirely under the surgeon's control. However, the da Vinci system enables far greater precision by scaling the surgeon's movements, eliminating natural hand tremor, providing outstanding visualization, and allowing work in anatomical areas that are difficult to access with conventional instruments. During lengthy procedures, fatigue is inevitable for a human surgeon, whereas the robotic system maintains consistent stability and precision throughout the operation. The acquisition of the da Vinci Surgical System is part of Dobrobut's long-term strategy to advance innovative healthcare and implement technologies that have already proven their effectiveness in leading healthcare systems around the world.
