Dobrobut Launches a Free Parenting School

On August 8, the Parenting School will launch in Kyiv — a new free educational project for expectant parents and families with children under one year of age. Doctors from the Dobrobut Medical Network will deliver open lectures on pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, breastfeeding, vaccination, and maternal mental health.

The project was created in response to parents' need for reliable medical information. During pregnancy and after the birth of a child, families often encounter a large amount of conflicting advice on social media and online forums, while the opportunity to ask a doctor questions and receive answers based on modern medical recommendations remains an important need.

"The period of expecting a child is the time when many questions arise. We want to create a space where future parents can receive trustworthy information from doctors, understand common myths, and prepare more confidently for childbirth and the first months of parenthood. Such knowledge helps people make informed decisions and feel more confident in their new role," explained Oleksandra Mashkevych, Chief Medical Director of the Dobrobut Medical Network.

Parenting School Program

The Parenting School covers the topics that most often raise questions among expectant and new parents:

  • pregnancy: what to expect and how to prepare;
  • childbirth;
  • breastfeeding and infant care;
  • vaccination, child safety, and development;
  • maternal mental health.

Meeting Schedule and Locations

The sessions will take place every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at two Dobrobut medical centers in Kyiv:

  • 3 Sim'i Idzykovskykh Street
  • 16-V Volodymyra Ivasiuka Avenue

Each meeting lasts approximately three hours, including a break and a Q&A session where participants can ask doctors questions and receive answers. Participants may attend individual lectures or the entire series.
