Unilateral Cheilorhinoplasty

Plastic surgery of congenital unilateral schistasis of the upper lip and nose.

This surgical intervention is performed on a patient with a unilateral schistasis of the upper lip and nosein the operating room under general anesthesia. The operating team includes a surgeon, an assistant and a surgical nurse.

A surgeon with an assistant forms the nasal cavity bottom, nasal vestibule and performs layer-by-layer plastic surgery of the mucous membrane, orbital muscle and skin using the selected surgery technique regarding schistasis variant and form.

The effect lasts for the rest of patient’s life.

Indication: unilateral schistasis of the upper lip and nose (unilateral lip cleft).

Service duration: from 100 to 180 minutes (excluding anesthesia).

Terms of service provision

The service has age restrictions: child’s age is from 3 months, child’ weight should be over 5000 grams.
There are no absolute contraindications for the procedure: relative contraindications are severe cardiovascular and CNS disorders.

Preparation: a plan of presurgical examinations for elective surgery (for children): complete blood count, blood type and Rh factor; blood glucose coagulogram; clinical urinanalysis; ECG with interpretation; counseling with an anesthesiologist (no later than 24 hours before the planned surgery); counseling with a pediatrician.

Clinical examinations to be provided no later than two weeks before surgery.

Additionally charged: general anesthesia, histological examination of the material, consumables (staplers, clips, cassettes for staplers depending on the surgical technique), inpatient treatment in the intensive care unit and inpatient department, lab tests and medications during the patient’s stay in the hospital, additional examination methods and counseling of the related medical specialists.
