Blood test for immunogram (Immunogram)

Immunogram is a set of laboratory tests, which, according to various indicators, allow to assess the state of the immune system, identify immunodeficiency states and take measures to eliminate them. In addition, in some cases, the immunogram allows you to assess the effectiveness of treatment.

The immunogram may be prescribed by a physician if a patient:

often suffers from infectious diseases;
recovers for too long after the disease;
has one or more chronic diseases;
suffers from allergies;
complains of symptoms and illnesses in case no disease is evident (weakness, a slight increase in body temperature, swollen lymph nodes);
suffered from cancer, allergic or autoimmune disease, radiation;
has inflammatory or fungal lesions on the skin;
has thyroid disease, A, B or C hepatitis, HIV, TORCH-infectionы or sexually transmitted diseases.

The list of studies consists of more than 50 different indicators that will help identify immunodeficiency and autoimmune diseases. There are no contraindications to make such study.

The immunogram includes:

immunophenotyping is the assessment of the content of the main subpopulations of lymphocytes: T-lymphocytes, T-helpers, T-cytotoxic lymphocytes, B-lymphocytes, killer cells and others;
indicators of humoral immunity (content of immunoglobulins A, M, G, E and circulating immune complexes);
tests of functional activity (markers of lymphocyte activation).

The material for studying is venous blood.

Before making the analysis, it is necessary to:

to stop taking antibiotics1 week before the test;
refrain from eating fatty and fried foods, as well as alcohol1 day before the analysis;
not to drink coffee, tea and juice immediately before the test, and to refrain from any physical activity;
analysis is best to be taken from 8:00 to 10:00 in the morning under fasted conditions.

It is not recommended to donate blood for immunogram:

during menstruation;
during fever;
while taking antibiotics.
