• ‘I always grow professionally. Of course, attending conferences helps a lot, plus study of modern literature, plus subscription to periodicals. I try to follow all the innovations not only in anesthesiology, resuscitation, intensive care, but also in related specialties, like surgery, internal medicine and cardiology.’

Priority areas in clinical practice:

• anaesthetic support of patients (general and regional anesthesia);
• intensive care of patients in critical state (resuscitation and intensive care unit);
• intensive care of patients with severe cardiac disease (Ischemic heart disease - unstable angina, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac failure);
• treatment of patients with surgical, obstetric and gynecological, neurological and therapeutic pathologies.
• Treatment of appendicitis, cardiac arrhythmia, stroke, myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease, ciliary arrhythmia, poisoning with drug substances, pancreatitis, cardiac failure, angina pectoris, peptic ulcers.
• ‘Anesthesiology, intensive resuscitation and therapy are quite young industry, so they have been developing very actively. Every year we get more and more respiratory equipment, a variety of monitors, as well as new medications developed. Toxic, cardiotoxic, hepatotoxic medications fell by the wayside. Today there are such medications available, after which patients wake up with a clear mind. In Ukraine, they are also used as worldwide. This is certainly a positive development.’
• ‘If patient has a very serious disease, first of all, we support him psychologically, because the mood of a patient plays an important role in a treatment process. If a person is in a good mood and has a positive attitude, the effect will be better accordingly. We try to tell patient about his problem in a way so there always remains hope for the best.’
• ‘A good doctor is professional and competent one, who fully owns all the manipulations, methods in his speciality. He should be a psychologist as well. He must constantly learn, improve and follow new trends.’
• ‘We try to tell all medical aspects to patient’s relatives. Even if it is a very serious disease we talk about it. But we take into account request of relatives, if they do not want a patient to know about his condition.’

Hobbies, favorite movies, books:

• ‘I like learning English, go to theaters and cinemas. In winter go snowboarding. I constantly read books, but I prefer scientific literature – usually write out notes.’
